In times of unpredictability, we find ourselves looking closer to home, toward the people and practices that continue to sustain us. There is a natural pull inward, not in isolation, but in collectivity, to reflect, respond, and create together. Creative expression draws from its surroundings and lived experiences. Utilised as a medium of self-expression that builds dialogue, bridges understanding, and brings communities into closer conversation.
Blank Space (by Alserkal) emerges in the same vein. It is an initiative to nurture local artists and collectives. Through shared practices, it opens up room for dialogue, creative expression and collaboration, representing emerging voices, and strengthens the creative ecosystem from within.
